Install Package Homebrew v1.3b This is a homebrew that installs one or more PKG files without using the XMB option. This app is useful if, for some reason, you can’t use that option. It will create a new icon on the XMB that allows you to install the PKG files.

How to Use It:
- Place the PKG files in the main directory of your USB drive (up to 100 PKGs, each with a maximum size of 4GB).
- Plug the USB drive into the PS3 and run the app.
- The app will search the USB drive from /dev_usb000 to /dev_usb009. Once it finds the files, it will start copying and create the necessary files to allow installation from the XMB without using the XMB option.
Important Note: This app will restart the PS3 once finished.
Installation Instructions
- Prepare the USB Drive:
- Place your
PKGfiles in the root directory of your USB drive. - You can place up to 100 PKG files on the USB, with each file having a maximum size of 4GB.

- Insert the USB drive into any of the USB ports on the PS3.
- Launch the Homebrew App:
- From the PS3 XMB, navigate to the Homebrew section.
- Select the Install Package Homebrew v1.3b app and launch it.
- App Will Search for PKG Files:
- The app will automatically scan all available USB ports (from
/dev_usb000to/dev_usb009) for the PKG files you placed on the USB drive.

- Once the USB is detected, the app will start copying the PKG files to the PS3.
- It will also create the necessary files to allow the PKG to be installed directly from the XMB.
- Installation Complete:
- After the app finishes processing the PKG files, it will create a new XMB icon that will let you install the PKG files just like any regular package.
- PS3 Restart:
- Once the installation is finished, the PS3 will automatically restart.
Important Notes:
Do not remove the USB drive during the installation process to prevent errors.
